Nowra information and attractions

Introduction:

The large town of Nowra is major commercial centre for the surrounding region, located between Berry and Ulladulla.

Nowra is situated on the wide Shoalhaven River, just under 15 kilometres from the coast. Along the river are attractive reserves and good elevated views along the river can be enjoyed from one of the many vantage points along Scenic Drive.

The Nowra town centre offers a wealth of retail outlets and the undercover Stockland Nowra Shopping Centre, all situated on the south side of the river, with the small suburb of Bomaderry located on the northern bank of the Shoalhaven River.

A short drive south-east of Nowra is Jervis Bay with its national parks, beaches, waterways and the holiday towns of Huskisson and Vincentia.

Attractions:

Fleet Air Arm Museum
Located 8 kms south-west of Nowra, the museum features displays of military and civil aircraft and includes a cafe, gift shop, theatre and airfield viewing platform
