Introduction:

Gosford is located on the New South Wales central coast between Woy Woy to the south and The Entrance in the north.

The city is located in a region of scenic beauty, fronting Brisbane Water, surrounded by hills and valleys, and close to national parks in the city's hinterland.

For some spectacular views of Gosford and its surroundings, head up to Presidents Hill Lookout, located within Waterview Park just west of the city centre. More scenic views can be enjoyed from several lookouts within the elevated bushy Rumbalara Reserve, located on the eastern edge of the city centre.

 
Attractions:

Australian Reptile Park
Located at Somersby, north-west of Gosford, this park was established in 1948 and features some of Australia's largest reptiles with gigantic models and exhibitions
Henry Kendall Cottage
Situated on a hectare of surrounding native gardens, the cottage and adjacent museum depict the local history of the Gosford area

Art & culture:

Gosford Regional Gallery
Located on the shores of Caroline Bay and surrounded by an acre of Japanese inspired gardens, the gallery has a diverse and stimulating exhibition program

Shopping & markets:

Imperial Shopping Centre
Located in Mann Street within the heart of Gosford, the centre features more than 70 stores

Parks, gardens & trails:

Brisbane Water National Park
This park borders the Hawkesbury River west of Gosford consisting of rugged sandstone plateaus and bushland
