The town of Corowa is situated on the Murray River and lies west of Albury and just north of the Victorian towns of Wahgunyah and Rutherglen.
The commercial centre of Corowa is situated along Sander Street which is lined with a significant collection of Federation-style buildings.
There are a number of boat ramps, fishing spots and parkland along the banks of the Murray River as it skirts along Corowa's eastern boundary. The single lane John Foord Bridge links the grassy northern bank of the Murray River with the town of Wahgunyah, just across the state border in Victoria.
