Introduction:

Byron Bay is a popular holiday destination on the far north coast between Brunswick Heads and Ballina.

The town offers a wide range of shops and eateries situated close to the beautiful north-facing main beach and it is surrounded by areas of significant natural beauty including the Cape Byron headland.

 
Parks, gardens & trails:

Cape Byron State Conservation Area
Occupying the most easterly point of Australia, it encompasses the Cape Byron Lighthouse and surrounding walking tracks through forest gullies
Arakwal National Park
This park extends along Byron Bay's eastern beach protecting important natural and cultural Aboriginal heritage
